And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord. -Phil. 4:7
Sorry it has been awhile since my last monthly update. Once Dr. Wilson and I landed in the states on July 28, we hit the ground running sorta speak. He flew from New York the next day to L.A. for ministry and I took his truck the day we landed and began heading west to L.A. to meet him there so he has his vehicle with him. Dr. Wilson has ministry in other states as we work our way back to the East coast. He will be ministring in Washington state, Colorado, Oklahoma and Illinois.
Once I began to head out to the west coast, I had the privilege of picking up my mother who lives in Indiana and we took our time touring America on our way to LA. We went to places like Memphis (Graceland), we saw Oral Roberts University campus, in Tulsa, also we saw the 1995 bombing memorial in Oklahoma City, also we went to the place where the states Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona meet. So we were in 4 states at the same time. Also we went to the Grand Canyon and Vegas, saw Hoover Dam and toured through Los Angeles California. It was great spening time with my mom. And you can see the pictures on my travel sight listed below. I got most of them up already.
Well let me just say, it is so great to be back in America! Though it has been a great oppertunity to visit many nations, none can compare to the great nation we live in. Though we have a shared problems as a nation, we still function under many liberties that we don't truly recognize to appreciate unless we are somewhere else that has no such liberties. Nevertheless, we are desperate for a mighty outpouring of God in America!
We have through generations abused the sense and principle of liberty, not so much as a practice in our American Government, but also in the Church, to where we as a whole can easily come into the snare of being solely dependant upon government help from man rather than the Government endowment from the Kingdom of God and living free in the Holy Ghost. For where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2Cor. 3:17). When the lifestyle of the Kingdom of God is incorperated and engrained in the life of the believer, we continue to live Christ focused and dependant upon Him, never satisfied but always hungry for Him. However, we do live in a blessed nation. I believe it is blessed because of the covenant our forefathers first intitllay made with the Lord as they cried out for God's blessing upon the nation at conception.
It was a great joy to witness the body of believers all over the world. Though proud to be an American, I am more proud to be a citizen of the Kingdom of God. And so I come to find that citizens of the Kingdom of God are scattered all over this globe. Though we may not understand each other by language in the natural, we understand each other by the spirit of Almighty God. So it was a deep priveledge to get to know more of the body of Christ by large. There is no certain blessed race in the natural, but only in the spirit and it was truly a joy to see the family of God we are apart of.
I come to find out personally that many nations have their own set of struggles, but yet the church has many different strengths in each nation. For example... Germany they are effected by their past (as I once mentioned in an update) concerning Hitler and the Nazi regime, so the church genrally meets together for coporate confession of the involvment of their forefathers. Though good to acknowledge the wrong doing, but they need a revelation of the forgivness of Christ, and also how you are not held accountalbe for another man's sins. Yet, the church in Germany thrive on the faithfulness in the House of God and being sensative to the heart of God.
Africa, the church as a whole at times struggle with ethics, exhalting false prophets and trying to "rule" ministry as a king and their own kingdom. However, when they cry out to God, boy do they cry out and experience God's healing touch and eliverance from withcraft and other lying spirits. While we were in Africa some church of different denominations met together and as Dr. Wilson ministered on the difference between being a Father ng in the ministry, they corporately recived the word with great joy and willingness to change their ethics in functionaing as the body of Christ represented in Africa. It was abeautiful thing to witness. Denominations willing to work together under one headship...Christ Jesus! Despite the disagreements in doctrine, one they agreed on and that is that Jesus Christ is Lord and His Word is infallible. That is enough to let brotherly love continue (Heb.13:1).
And I can touch up on some other nations, but I do see int he U.S. we struggle with "intelectualism". Pretty much we have been greatly blessed with revelation and wisdom that God has revealed to others, but we have a tendancy "generally speaking" to put the revelations and such on a shelf and not into practiacal use, adding on in our lifestyle. We can eesily think Salvation is the end in our walk, when really it is the beginning and God is calling us to mature and develope more in Him. However, now driving across the U.S. after being gone 4 months overseas, I am more aware of the "Chrisitan" influnece that is scattered all over this great land. Seeing churches and cross all over, freely advertised next to highways and within small communities as well though Chrisitan radio has become more of a witness of the heritage of this nation. I mean you would rarely see that in many nations. There is still a sense somewhat of godly prinicple, yet these things I see is what is now being threatened. And I believe it all begins in the House of God, in our lives as proclaimed disciples of Christ. But I thank the good Lord He is building His church still and despite the circumstances, He is faithful and longsuffereing and will continue to work through the ages to come, until His bride is perfect and victorious. Because Jesus isn't coming to save the Church....oh no! He is coming for a victorious Church! If He said He will build it, then I believe the victorious King wont build a needy and dieing out Church. In a union, the Bible teaches us to not be uneaqually yoked. So what makes us think the union between Christ and the Church would be unequally yoked? Together we will be yoked in victiory! Hallelujah!
Now, concerning Dr. Wilson's health. Comparing to how he was overseas, he is doing much better. He still deals with swelling of the hands and ankles...side affects from his medicaton. Also he needs to drink a lot, and I mean a lot of water. Though temting now being in the states to get back to regular way of eating, he still needs to be more focus on what he eats and take better care of himself. I personally learned the lesson of how that taking care of your body (the temple of the Holy Ghost) can help make your life and time traveling more enjoyable and effecient for the work of the Kingdom. It is not so much about a image but it's a principle.
Again I can not stress how much your prayers helped and were answered and just how thankful we are for them. I feel as if everyday while overseas we lived off the power of your prayers, and I believe we did. We witnessed God's faithfulness and strength each day and we both got home safe and sound. In a way we were overwhelmed once the plane hit the runway in New York. Doc turned to me with tears in his eyes and said "we made it kid, we made it". We are both glad to be back home.
This month of August is the last month I am with Dr. Wilson. My term with him is finished in September and he has another young man traveling with him who also is a pre-med student. So that is an added blessing to Dr. Wilson turning this season of his life. Continue to be blessed and the blesing you all are. And I will be sure to send my last update in September when I am offically home in Hershey PA! Blessings to you all and much love.
God Bless
