Luke 15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me…
Well it is official; I am now home in Hershey, PA for good. I finished my tour of duty with Dr. Eldon Wilson. And so this is my final travel update of my season with Dr. Wilson.
What a season it has been and very much enjoyable. I am still trying to get adjusted to being home and getting things together. I do want to just thank you all again, as always for your prayers and encouragement for me and Dr. Wilson as we have traveled together.
Doc’s health seems fine, the only new news we received was that he does have a blockage in the heart and he will be seeing his doctor back home in New York very shortly in the next week for a final check up and advice concerning all that he has went through during our time together overseas.
We have witnessed the hand of the Lord working upon Dr. Wilson and know without a shadow of doubt that it was due to the intercession of friends and family all over, who has been keeping up to date on his well being and in prayer. Thank you.
Well this last month I personally drove about 10,400 miles in America, driving from New York JFK airport to LA and from LA to Washington state and then back to Hershey, PA! So I am trying to settle down and get my mind to relax and off the routine of being constantly on the go.
Many people asked me as I was traveling what I will do once I finish up my time with Dr. Wilson. My reply is that I do have set plans, but they are flexible and removable to God’s intervention of His plans. But until and unless the Lord intervenes, I plan on finishing up my classes to get my general associate’s degree (by which I already completed my general studies, so I just have to take additional classes to filling the extra credit gap). It will be primarily online courses if I continue with this approach and probably transferring all my credits and graduating out of Penn State College in Harrisburg. Also looking to get a job, probably going back to working at the Hershey gym. I have also been thinking about getting my license here to become a personal trainer, which I did through the YMCA when I lived in Indiana. And maybe just do that as a side job and having a personal schedule and work through a gym. However, I will be more involved with my home church and serving in whatever way my Pastor needs me to serve.
Some other things have been on my mind and heart, but require just prayer and seeking the face of the Lord about; and so even though I am no longer traveling with Dr. Wilson, if you would remember me in prayer at times, I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking forward to more times alone with the Lord in prayer, now that I am home and stationary.
Anyways, I am truly grateful of the opportunity given for me to travel the world, preaching the Gospel, serving Doc, and meeting all kinds of people and cultures. But one thing is for sure, that there is no place like home! And so I am glad to be back home and to be able to follow up on facebook now, Dr. Wilson’s travels, also with his new companion in his journeys, Brandon King. Brandon is from the same home church as Dr. Wilson and also is a pre-med student. And so though I only studied under physical therapy, Brandon will be of greater help to Dr. Wilson more in the medical field. So the Lord I believe blessed Doc with someone who will take good care of him.
Doc and I arrived to Hershey last Saturday and last Sunday he left to go home after service at my home church. What a privilege it was for me to be able to minister before my church family, Pastor Philip and Dr. Wilson. Of any good benefit that comes out of my life is all do to first by the Lord imparting into me through my Pastors, Dr. Wilson, all my family who has prayed for me, church family and friends who God brought into my life. Thank you all!
I know I probably won’t truly enjoy the full benefit of this past season until later on in life as I look back, but I am glad I took the time, through thick and thin, happy and enjoyable times, to serve the man of God and the people.
I pray that you all through these blog and video updates I posted on my website, (along with photos) felt as if you were traveling along with us! I will keep my travel website up and don’t plan on taking it down, so everyone can see the picture slideshows and get a sense of what the Lord has done overseas and know He is still moving in these countries through the believer’s there!
This is my final travel update to you all. Please keep in touch. Much love to you all and prayers for the will of God to be not only clear in your life, but shown making the way straight into the life and journey of destiny, being more conformed to His nature and image, all in what gave birth to all things, His love! For that is who Christ is!
